Sambo vs Judo: Differences and Effectiveness

 

Many combat-style sports and martial arts resemble one another and appear to use comparable tactics. Sambo and Judo are two combat techniques that appear to be quite similar at first glance, yet there are some significant distinctions between the two.

Sambo and Judo?are similar?as Judo is one of the disciplines from which Sambo evolved. The primary difference is that Judo forbids leg takedowns or joint locks anywhere other than the elbow, but Sambo does. Sambo does not allow chokeholds and does not involve spiritual practices, unlike Judo does.
