 In Karate, fighters adhere to a system of 10 levels or kyus. Ultimately, the most iconic bit of martial arts gear is the belt, which they get at every level. Belts come in a range of 6 colors. In the order of their ranking, they are: white, orange, blue, yellow, green, brown, and black. Except for the white belt, all belts may include dashes to signify advancement.
